Which Japanese university to choose

You are going to study abroad in Japan? You want to know which university to choose? If so, you should read this article then.

First things first, this article is just from my perspective, which means it might include something that is not true or is stereotyped. But, as a Japanese, and also as one of the students of Meiji university which I will introduce later, I hope I can give you some information that I have got through my own experience and what I have heard from my friends who are going other universities. Since this is based on what I feel, or what a Japanese university student feel, I believe this is more like a real opinion and could be informative for those who are not sure of which university to choose to study abroad in Japan.

Okay, let's get back to the topic. I'm going to talk very briefly about some Japanese private universities called "The six universities" among Japanese. "The six universities" consist of Keio University, Waseda University, Aoyama Gakuin University, Rikkyo University, Meiji University, Chuo University, and Housei University. on this page, I narrow them down to Keio, Waseda, Aoyama Gakuin, and Meiji University because I highly recommend them especially. The reason why they are called "the six universities" is that, briefly speaking, they are the most famous and the highest level universities of private universities in Japan. Among these six universities, Keio and Waseda have a higher level of education than the rest. That level is almost the same as some prefectural universities.

Keio University has been seen as the university where so-called "cool" students go. People also have an image that it is the place where "rich" and "elite" students gather. Since it is super hard to enroll in Keio University, I bet they have studied a lot without a doubt. Keio is a big name in Japan, which means if you wanna get a job at a Japanese big company and are going to Keio university, companies would highly value that. So, I highly recommend choosing Keio if you want to have a cool-university-student life while studying hard. I would definitely have gone here if I could. I didn't pass the exam...

2. Waseda University

Waseda is as high level as Keio, so I can assure you that being a student of Waseda…
