Small Changes Can Have a Big Impact

With its magical colors, the castle, and a surprise visit from Tinkerbell, Disneyland is a must to visit. I love Disney because I grew up watching almost every movie. Or perhaps I love Disney because they own almost everything in the modern world; I would argue it’s the movies.

Now the park changed its greeting before the firework show. “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, dreamers of all ages,” was the greeting before the magic. I think I teared up the first I heard it just because I was so excited. If you go now, though, they’ve updated the saying leaving out “ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.”

Why the change? Inclusivity. In a world where gender is a discussion now, it’s always lovely to see such an impactful company keeping up with the times. It’s a reminder that sometimes a tiny change can be a good thing when it includes us all.
