Is Anybody Listening?

I have the distinct feeling that I am just talking to myself here. Maybe that is because I am not cut out to be a Dear Abby for the over 65 generation.

The obvious conclusion would be to concentrate on a topic I actually know something about … like for example Software Development; but that is where my biggest problem with blogging starts: I suffer from the so-called ‘Imposter Syndrome’. Do you know the feeling? “Why should anyone want to read anything written by me, because I am actually a phony?”

One of the most amazing qualities of the software developer community is that some of the absolutely most talented people in the field are so willing and even eager to pass on their truly awesome knowledge and experience to those trying to get a foothold in this exciting endeavor.

As I related in my very first post, I never studied Information Science (or Computer Science as it is often called). I learned what little I know by reading books and trying things out. Maybe that is a subject I am qualified to give advice on. So for today I will sign off here and spend the next week pondering about what I have to say on that topic. See you later when I hopefully know what to say.
